In April, culabula joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “Vukuzenzele” by Busi Mhlongo. Nice. The year’s recurring themes? African music, reggae, and soukous. They were the first, and only, to post “Whisky Soda” by Bembeya Jazz National. culabula was the first person on This Is My Jam to post “TODA MENINA BAHIANA” by GILBERTO GIL — before 11 others! In December, culabula posted their 20th jam. “Love ->Building on Fire” by Talking Heads closed out the year.
