@21schizoid It's true.Plant never seemed to be able to find a decent fitting pair of trousers. He always looked as if he'd stolen a young groupies' size 2 denims.
Used to wear mine like that too, 'til I started sounding like Jon Anderson...actually, it may be something to do with those extended ooohs and aaahs, beloved of the Plantmeister...
I remember this pretty well, as I was there. 24 May was the Saturday, and I know it was the Saturday I went, because the streets were full of disconsolate Scottish footballers whose side had been (improbably) beaten 5-1 that afternoon by England.

Actually the streets were full of Scottish supporters, and not, at least not as far as I know, the footballers themselves......
