whoops, was meant for cathode! I even tweeted it... how I caught you had #jamswapped
It really is an absolute belter! I often give my brother-in-law a big wet soppy kiss as gratitude for introducing me to this great, great band.
Still my favourite Pavement album!
Excellent tune and album, though it reminds me of how annoyed I am at the lack of Terror Twilight Deluxe Edition. C'mon!
@crawtonleek yes the Wowee Zowee one is excellent, not heard Slanted and Enchanted, that's next on the purchase list
So good they named it twice, etc etc
@LadyGulag The four deluxe editions are all lovely - special editions the way they should be done. Makes the lack of Terror Twilight all the more disappointing. I feel a grumpy email to Matador coming on...
Superb song from an all time great band.
Always feel the need to remind people that I saw them at Manchester Academy whenever a Pavement track crops up. By the way, did I ever mention I saw them at Manchester Academy?
@AlicejustMay Lucky you, I've not seen them... not since the Slanted and Enchanted tour ;-)
Censored? WT(bleep)? Love that they call out Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Tempo Auto Pilot.
It was a long time ago to be honest, @StillHonest1...
@AlicejustMay what was a long time ago? ;-)
When I saw Pavement, @LadyGulag. And no cheese was involved.
@AlicejustMay Oh wow! you saw Pavement! Where was that then? ;-)
@LadyGulag I think it was either '94 or '95. Manchester Academy. Can't remember for sure, but it's not a huge venue, I was at the front (I was ALWAYS at the front - Jeff Buckley, Beck, early Blur, Radiohead, EchoBelly and so forth; all in Manchester) and there was a lot of love in the room.
@AlicejustMay My Ex saw Pavement at the Zodiac in Oxford in 1995 and got quite excited at one point and spilt half her beer down the back of the bloke in front, who happened to be Damon Albarn. He was not pleased.
Great story, though!
