Love this video. Could only have come from that decade. Sadly this is the shorter single version and not the album one with even more of that stunning Jools Holland piano
@abner07 I first heard 'Soul Mining' back in 1988 at the height if my late teen existential angst phase, so along with Joy Division this album really spoke to me like a diamond cutting through my skull.
Reminds me of teenage Sunday night ritual of lurking in my room with Annie Nightingale on the radio. Also of badly edited mixtapes of recordings off said radio. Clunk, whirr, song cut off in middle by end of tape etc.
@LadyGulag The Big Hair Milk Crate Incident LOL. Might have to dig out my cassettes as Infected is certainly worth a listen too. All this music, when will I find time to sleep?
@simonp a vague recollection of seeing one or two on the 'The Tube'. Fighter jets over Arabia, Matt Johnson wearing a stetson playing a steel guitar in the rain soaked derelict Docklands...
@LadyGulag That's the one. A bit of a sledgehammer when it came to the politics but entertaining nonetheless. Wiki has this to say:
It was also unusual for having a full-length accompanying film. Costing hundreds of thousands of pounds, Infected: The Movie was shot on locations in Bolivia, Peru and New York. Different songs were directed by different directors, mainly Tim Pope and Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (of Throbbing Gristle).

He had to make the most of his big hair it wasn't going to last. My fave 80's band can still remember discovering them way back then.

@fsohail Do you remember the videos that they made for each of the songs on Infected? Haven't seen that for years.

@simonp thanks for all the info :D my favourite film of an album has to be Interstella 4444 the manga made for 'Discovery' by Daft Punk.

@LadyGulag I dunno. The way the new Bowie album is shaping up video-wise, it could take some beating http://vevo.ly/17IG4ok
