Saw some guys play last night, their sound reminded me of these guys at times. Haven't heard this album for a while so out it comes. Their latest is superb too.

As emotional as every song on the album, however, this song feels a bit more breezy, a but more free and kind of happier in a way, like he's getting over the emotional pain. Very carefree, simple and a great pleasure to listen.
Let's continue talking about great contemporary releases by my favorite label 4AD. Bon Iver is a folk-rock band from Wisconsin, and this song is from their debut album For Emma, Forever Ago, which was first self-released by the band, and then re-released by 4AD in Europe. I am digging folk rock quite a bit these days (getting older, no doubt), and this song is a great example of what I like about the genre.
