“The Millennium bug. Y2K. Ali G. Madonna's come back. It was an annoying time. Plus she was now English, complete with "The London Look" (ie bad teeth/ mind the gap smile). But we all survived, somehow we made it. Fifteen years later, she falls over live at the Brits. Is this karma for making us attempt dancing to the weird beats in "Music"? I actually quite liked this track at the time; it seemed like they were having fun with the knobs and sliders in the studio. Good for headphones, but I was more likely to pull a hip than pull a gal, and more likely to break wind than break dance. Hey, we all get old, and there comes a time for us all when one has to stop trying to keep up getting down with da kids as Ai G used to say, and as Madge surely now knows only too well.”
