“Two doors down from us lived a widow and her cat. My pal and I used to climb her plum tree because it was there. One summer her grand daughter stayed awhile & liked to sunbathe in her back garden in a bikini listening to her portable radio. She was 16 - 17 and had filled out properly. This song always reminds me of what she put us through that summer. I suspect that she spotted us ogling from the plum tree, as she seemed to be "playing to the gallery", sighing and mooching about.With time and gossip, I think we managed to get her audience numbers up to about 11 prepubescent lads in bushes, trees and shrubberies!
