Niiiice. I like to dig out the Airplane every now and then (no, not the Airfix). I do believe, although I missed the first two toons from this new series, it's going to turn me all wistful and introspective...I feel artisan caffeine comin' on...
@21schizoid Yeh, I've heard about your 'fixation' with Grace Slick! ;-D ...the 1st 2 tunes were The Youngbloods' "Get together" & The Kinks' "The way love used to be" Yes, VERY wistful & introspective. I hope you can cope with that kind of thing for the next 2 weeks! ( with or without the artisan caffeine!) ;-)
@shiningsun2k A classic album in fact. Yeh, I've only seen bits of "Flashback" ( Dennis Hopper is in it too) It looked pretty good. I'll have to catch the whole thing one day...
Haha. Yep DC, I was gonna' say somethin' 'bout me, Gracey and 69...but I won't bother. Youngbloods and ma' Kinks, you say...that's me solid gone already, man...where's my Bolivian Colonia Copacabana roast when I need it... ;-D
Absolute gem of a track debutch :) One of the defining albums of the era. Tried to jam "Today" and "Somebody To Love" recently without success. Guess i shoulda tried your sidestep. Keep em coming brother :)
@debutch Aww, I don't know what to say, I'm very honoured that you have jammed a song for me, and what a beautiful one it is. Possibly your loveliest jam yet, it is ethereal, without a doubt, and new to me, I shall be putting it on my iPod. Will have to check out the film too. Are you just trying to buy a few weeks grace, by remaining in my good books? Well, it's worked! ;-) Thanks again, you lovely hippie-hearted man, you... :-) xx
@Axol Yes, I know that you are about the same age as me ( ssshh!) and I also know that as well as having your finger on the contemporary music pulse in a VERY impressive manner, you also love music from the 'golden decade' ( in my opinion, mid 60s to mid 70s) well, there should be some delights coming up for you on this page for the next 2 weeks!
@garyprice265 ...Will do , Gary! Yes, a magnificent album. In my mind, as good as Loves' "Forever changes" which seems to get far more credit......yes, there are SO many jams that are inhibited now, that I'm "forced" into crime HaHa! :-)
The comparison with "Forever Changes" is a fair one debutch, although that album will always have a place in my heart. Look forward to your next jam in this thread mister, legal or otherwise :) And as crimes go there are far worse !
