New to me but worth further listening, thanks. The beat is very 'motorik' originating from the German rock groups of the late 60's and 70's such as La Dusseldorf, Kraftwerk, Neu! and others.
Haven't heard the new album but on hearing Get Up from their album last year they made an impression. It was stuck in my head for weeks! Thanks to @AlicejustMay for the intro :) x
@kompani101 ..."motorik" aah, you're speaking my language now! Yes, I can definitely see that in this song but I'm not sure if their other tracks are similar to this...
@abigail.deeks You're welcome Abi :-) x You got a tip off about their previous album LAST year?...I just KNEW it had to be Alice!! Ahead of the pack! ( @AlicejustMay ) ;-D
Oh yeah, Young Fathers are great! This is quite different from what I've heard from them up to this point though, and I like it! And it could totally be a Joy Division song if the voice was deeper, good call!
Had to go back check out "Canary In A Cathouse" and whoa, what a riff! What do you mean, they probably heard "Bridge of Sighs" before recording it? I didn't hear any resemblance... ; ) More stuff popped up this week keeping me away from TIMJ and the computer in general, but I'm going to get on and keep up best I can until things settle back down.
