been waiting for the 'book of souls Folio B' since forever. Trey Spruance keeps doing great work under the Secret Chiefs label, but man he's an infuriating perfectionist.

I've never heard that before....A very dramatic tune...is it also the theme to a TV show?

@philipnareike Yeh, I remember this tune as a very young child around 1960/61 It was the theme music to the film of the same name. A war-time epic about the founding of the state of Israel in 1948 starring Paul Newman. It's funny because I always wrongly assumed "Exodus" was a biblical epic and yet, last year, a film called "Exodus , Gods & Kings" was released and that one is about Moses! Here is the trailer from the 1960 film.... https://youtu.be/6gmBfWDW9tU

@AlteGeist I only got into the Secret Chiefs recently via Mr. Bungle & Mike Patton which then led me to the Chiefs' retrospective album, " Path of most resistance" I find their work fascinating & highly entertaining, especially those pieces with middle-Eastern influences.

@debutch They did an album for John Zorn's "Book of Angels" project, interpreting Masada Book 2 tunes. it's called Xaphan. I think you'd like that one quite a lot- it's not unlike this song you've posted here.
