Just some comments on YouTube: "Eddie Vedder can sing Row row row your boat and it would sound like one of the greatest songs you've ever heard" and "Eddie should have just sung on every song that night" and "The song along with Eddie's voice left me comfortably numb"
@dutchzaphod Can you believe I only listened to Dark Side of the Moon all the way through for the first time on Saturday night? Some stunning stuff. In fact, I meant to tell @Bukowski I'd listened, too, and I haven't yet.
I love it when two extremely well respected and talented artists are delivered so perfectly wrapped up for Christmas like this! This pairing is one I will remember for quite some time. Thank you!
@cyberspiel Don't know what the others are for, but I'm dead chuffed! @jumbone And I'm going to take your comment as a backup, whether it's anything to do with me or not!
@AlicejustMay They are for your impeccable Jamming record and to acknowledge the quality of your last 70 Jams of course! It is officially hereby decreed that you hold rank of 'Captain' on your very own TIMJ ship! ...Happy Sailing!
Great performance! I love these one off shows. Magical things seem to happen. Live Aid: Zeppelin and Sabbath reunions. 12-12-12 Paul joins Nirvana! The Princes Trust, Arms, etc.
@Bukowski As I said, some of it I loved - listening in the dark all the way through helps with the whole flow/feel of it etc. But I'm not sure I'll rush to listen to it again. Also listened to 'Wish You Were Here' and only really enjoyed "Shine on, You Crazy Diamond'. I couldn't get that sense of how new it all must have seemed at the time, unlike when I listen to early Bowie. But so glad I've heard it all the same - Comfortably Numb is superb.
I think Eddie actually sounds a bit flat in places and seems to have trouble hitting the higher notes, maybe not the right key for him. Still like the track though :)
@Redlabel I sure am. But since they began asking for money I've hardly been there. When it comes to streaming music I use Spotify (the free version) or www.grooveshark.com

Probably my favourite performance of the night. Damn Eddie can sing the hell out of anything.

Eddie's brilliant. I prefer David Gilmour to Roger Waters though.

Wauw. Ik sluit me vol-le-dig aan bij die 'Row row row your boat'-comment, wat kan die man zingen...

@dutchzaphod Love it when I see you just hitting the keyboard randomly. And getting a reply too! Oh, to not be a monoglot...

@AlicejustMay So you have discovered, as I have, how overrated 'Dark Side Of The Moon' is; I mean, it's a good album, but really??

Thank you, @cyberspiel - hurrah and huzzah! I shall aim to steer a faultless course through the next 70!

@mikemann921230 I won't tell anyone if you won't (for old time's sake) :)

@Sid_ Bonkers Regardless of "pitchiness," he has a terrific rock und roll voice, eh?
benhodder
Best song of the concert!

Classic for a cause!

Good that they had the class to reproduce Gilmore's 1st guitar solo note for note.
