I first heard this song probably when I was a child. My mother listened to a lot of music. When I first listened to this song, it was used in the tv series Highlander: The series. To this day, it resonates with me. Makes me feel less sadden by loss and more optimistic that we all in this reality live & die and are a part of everything around us.
