This is really good. I've liked just about everything I've heard from Interpol, but I haven't listened to any of their albums or heard any of their songs enough to remember them. Is this from the latest album or older? Also, is it me or do the vocals resemble R.E.M. a bit?
@shiningsun2k This is from their latest album El Pintor that came out in September....I've been a longtime fan of theirs, but this was really the only song I loved from their latest album. And no, it's not just you -- it does sound a little like R.E.M., which I never even realized! ;P
Bummer 'El Pintor' has failed to impress you so far. If I were to give a previous album a listen in its entirety, which one would you suggest starting with?
Just finished. I like the whole thing and it seemed to take it up a notch starting with "Take You On A Cruise", but maybe it just seems that way on first listen. But yeah, I really like it and there are a few songs I added to my possible future jams list. Also, they played a show nearby with one of my favorite bands, Calla, years ago and I can see that the two fit well together after hearing this album. Still kicking myself for missing that.
