“At Mother Foucault's one of the shop people was raving about how wonderful the one songwriter in Richmond Fontaine is both as a person and artist--had no idea the band was based in Portland (was it always??). Good timing because this had been lingering in my head anyway a few weeks before the trip due to that "songs of quiet desperation" thing on Mefi. I see now one of their more recent official music videos was shot in an area I recognize from our trip this week--so neat.”
