









jakesutton’s first jam of 2015 was “40th Street Black/We Will Fight” by Wu-Tang Clan. In May, jakesutton found it, their eternal jam: “Precision Auto” by Superchunk. It was a year of funk, pop, and hip hop. People really liked “Do The Get Down” by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. And it all came to an end with jakesutton’s final jam: “S.O.B.” by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.

The year got going with “Ball and Chain” by Social Distortion, and the jams kept coming; 43 in total. The year’s recurring themes? Wye Oak, shoegaze, and singer-songwriters. “Dimples” by John Lee Hooker got a lot of love. jakesutton was the first person on This Is My Jam to post “Work It Out” by Jurassic 5 — before 38 others! 2014 drew to a close with “A Better Tomorrow” by Wu-Tang Clan.

jakesutton’s first jam of 2013 was “You Never Even Call Me by My Name” by Steve Goodman, and the jams kept coming; 70 in total. It was a year of Superchunk, acoustic, and indie pop. People really liked “Down By The Water” by The Decemberists. jakesutton was first to pick “Lovers' Revolution” by Iron and Wine, in January — 20 others followed suit! jakesutton crossed 100 jams in July!

jakesutton’s year started strong with “Keasbey Nights” by Streetlight Manifesto, and there was more to come; 56 jams in all. Plenty of Deadmau5, folk, and rap. “Sure Shot” by Beastie Boys got a lot of love. jakesutton was first to pick “Charmer” by Aimee Mann, in July — 32 others followed suit! In November, jakesutton posted their 50th jam. jakesutton’s 2012 came to a close with “Come Together” by Spiritualized.
