You're doing a sterling job, DJ Chemist. Excellent introductions.

Now that's a Number 2 I can fully endorse...

@AlicejustMay thanks wenchcat - sorry for the shameless alliteration. Big day tomorrow - queuing all day for Prince tickets, I shall be. :D

@jonnyneale5 Not everyone can pull an @AlicejustMay and nominate 16 albums for their top ten...

@AlicejustMay @thisismymistake - at first glance a solid and fair point. Nonetheless her casual disregard for authority paved the way for you to steal 2 extra with a clean conscience. That places you just one rung down the girl in question. Joint second with your fellow 'jammy dodgers': @Bukowski and @MyBlueElephant :0)

*from* the girl in question *sigh*

@jonnyneale5 It was indeed 13 (London Grammar fell through the cracks iirc), and as much as I want to give the girl in question credit it's been my MO for years (2013 -> 13 albums in my top ten...). Which just shows that with 16 albums in her top ten, @AlicejustMay is justWay ahead of her time...

beautifully written blurb, @jonnyneale5. Do you do that for a living, by any chance?

Not only do you have impeccable taste, sir, but you also have an admirable aptitude for alliteration!

You're definitely the one who assimilate TIMJ the better way : collect, summarize, give back with class. Bravo!

@MyBlueElephant @silvershroud @Niels_Footman I'm not a well equipped human for compliments - the typical symptomatic response involves blushing and sudden interest in my own shoes. Nonetheless, I am always deep down grateful and surprised. I'm a hedonist and I'm just having fun with language and TIMJ - I love both - I've never felt good enough to write for money. TBH I was a bit embarrassed by the alliteration. BUT thanks so much for your kind words *staring at my toes*

@thisismymistake @Niels_Footman @silvershroud @MyBlueElephant I have to tell someone this - I just got woke up after 4 hrs sleep after the greatest gig(s) of my whole life. 6 hrs of queuing to see Prince at Koko. 2 hrs of overwhelming showmanship. The best stage presence & guitar/piano work I have ever witnessed. Then kicked out but straight back into the queue for 2 more hours of the same. £140 just on tickets. The wisest money ever spent. Can't stop grinning. :)))))))))

@jonnyneale5 And you won't recover easily, ah! ;)) So happy for you!!! I'm still "ill" since I saw him for the first time in 1987 (one of the greatest gig of my life). But if you want to talk about it more easily, ask @TBBYNH (he was there too!!!)

TBBYNH

I was! Just the first show for me, but that was enough - face-melting guitar solos and a raft of hits; couldn't have asked for more really :)

@jonnyneale5 @TBBYNH That's what live music is about! :) Glad the (double) wait in line paid off...
