Funeral March of a Marionette by Charles Gounod

jovisgoesnuts’s jam on 2 Oct ’13 and then once after that (See all)

“Gounod (1818-1893) composed the Funeral March of a Marionette in 1872. It received a new lease of life in 1955 when it was first used as the theme for the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Now we all know it but often can't remember what it's called. I hope this helps #myclassicalweek

playing this in orchestra right now, it's really hard but it sounds good. if it sounds familiar it's because it's also the alfred hitchcock theme.
