St. Paul's Suite (Complete Suite) by Gustav Holst

“Gustav Theodore Holst (21 September 1874 – 25 May 1934) was an English composer, arranger and teacher. Best known for his orchestral suite The Planets, he composed a large number of works across a range of genres, although none achieved comparable success. His distinctive compositional style was the product of many influences, including the English folksong revival of the early 20th century. He and Ralph Vaughan Williams were lifelong friends from when they first met at college. Vaughan Williams thought he was a great music teacher. Holst was less confident, and indeed was a rather shy man who didn't enjoy the fame he got from The Planets. As well as teaching at Morley College, Holst was the musical director of St. Paul's Girls' School in Hammersmith, London. He wrote this piece which I really enjoy for the opening of the school's new music  wing. I Hope you like it. #myclassicalweek
