“Bill Conti is known to be crotchety, but he does write good film scores. This film was an early outing for Elijah Wood in the lead role, with Courtney B Vance as Jim. You can almost feel the water in the rhythym. Even Mark Twain(real name Samuel Langhorne Clemens), who wrote Huckleberry Finn & Tom Sawyer,  took his pen name from the Big Muddy. When the leadsman's line sank to the two--fathom knot, meaning the boat had a safe twelve feet of water beneath it, he called out, "By the mark, twain!" Hope you like it. #OSTweek”
