“Nicola James Capaldi (1944-2005) was the co-founder of Traffic with Steve Winwood, but he's best remembered for this cover I think. Very popular in 1975. The Everly Brothers recorded it first in 1960 but never released it as a single. Roy Orbison did in 1961. Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons recorded it and it was released on a posthumous album after Parsons died in 1973. Harris has always sung it since and has recorded it several times. It was then recorded by Nazareth in 1975 before this version. At only 60 years of age, another singer who died way too early. #HopeYouLikeIt”
