For many years I had dismissed this albums as the 'middle and don't know what to do' album; thanks to this site (and you) I have rediscovered it and I was wrong, it is superb, thank you.
@Bukowski I think Hendrix moves in & out of my radar more than any other (of the classic artists), and I don't fully understand why. When he's on I lap up everything. I think I sometimes forget that he produced some of the most perfect pop/ rock/ love songs of our time.
@kemiladashdot That is a very good way to describe my relationship with Hendrix; "in & out of my radar." Oooo, by the way, I can see your background moving!
BTW, this was THE weed experimentation album for us 16 year olds; we bought the re-issues of his late-sixties albums when he died in 1970. Fantastic memories (well, hazy recollections perhaps) and not a duff track amongst them.
@kemiladashdot Hah, well, by 1979 I was overwhelmed by two young children, debt, and a fast-disintegrating first marriage. Blowing my mind away would definitely have been welcome at the time, but very irresponsible and ultimately foolish. There ya go - as you say, different times.
@kemiladashdot Thanks for the swirly whirly linky. Too many to choose from and making me feel quite queasy so chose something completely different. Will choose something for my next background. Thank you. Very kind.
looked at ''the dept of phyco''page............no.possibly my feet are stuck to the ground these days.remember those green/red posters, they sure moved, but everything did then.

@Bukowski You didn't tell me can you see the background moving?
leejohnson
Of course I can. The whorls are whorling. However, having looked in the mirror, I can confirm that you are mistaken on the "beautiful" front! :)

@Bukowski @leejohnson then you must be beautiful, the snakes are rarely wrong. Must be something wrong with my screen though, I can't see them at all.
kemiladashdot
@leejohnson this was mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hntPSLPTZgA , I just played it again, can't imagine!!! Oh well different times & maybe they were growing stronger strains.
Bukowski
@kemiladashdot I have been called a lot of things in my life but 'beautiful' was never one of them. lol
