FYI: Tom Petty's Rebel Without a Clue was based on the unfortunate line up of the Replacements opening for Tom Petty - what a disaster, saying they didn't get along is an understatement!...hence the song by Tom:) Paul's Ego: HUGE!
Correct name of put down song by Tom Petty re: Replacements: Into the Great Wide Open:) It was a sad scene - Tom Petty - straight, with his wife and kids; the Replacements. being full punkers - and having all the fun that single rockers have on tour - let's just say tension arose - - I think it's so interesting as they both started out at same time. I luv 'em both.I kinda side with Replacements - it's a tour, not a family vacation...but Tom had more hits and more power....just a roadie story;)
