Joe Cocker RIP. Made his three score and 10, not without a little help from his friends. Here is my tribute with my favourite of his oeuvre that took me right back to my old tape recorder and the occasional moment we wrested control of the car stereo from the old man (not often). #joecocker#deltalady
Back on the horse. Although I lurve music more than mere words can say, I don't plug into any gizmos when I'm loafing around on the beach. I simply let my mind go a-wandering...scary. Whilst gently burning last week, I recalled a little cameo from my finance days, when I had an appointment with a Church Minister. Off I went on a sunny afternoon, prepared for serious investment dialogue. On arriving, imagine my surprise when he introduced me to his new wife, an attractive blonde lady, who I'd enjoyed a spot of slap & tickle with, some 2 years earlier, on a 'fuelled' evening out. I handled the situation with my signature aplomb and spent the next two hours drinking tea, exploring investment avenues and reliving epic anatomical memories, every time I looked at his wife. Anyway, when I got back into my car, Mad Dogs & Englishmen was in the CD player & I drove to the office with Joe 'Delta-ing' in the background, whilst I smile knowingly, pondering the sheer irony of the surname Cocker...
