@80sfan i live in a country with no copy-right law,i am blocked more than most. here is another link for others who are blocked http://youtu.be/IpXhHKIkg9E
Well, I came here expecting to hear some jazz-rock, Hammond organ from another Jimmy Smith!!!!!!! But I'm certainly not leaving here disappointed though. I hadn't heard of Little JS - but I'm glad I have now!! Interesting - Thanks Lynn :-)
thanks for the links...i love this and SYCAMORE TREES...i think i will finally start watching TWIN PEAKS...i love lynch #cheese but try to avoid TeeVee show addictions...i'm not always successful though, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, GOTHAM, DEXTER
@florencevibert@mikelowe i found Little Jimmy because of @debutch,think it was Lou/Jimmy in a duet, they were also friends..i listen,i look things up Wiki/Google..i learn.thats why i do this site. possibly you will like to hear my favorite--i feel like a mother less child, the most emotional version i have ever heard. http://youtu.be/-4aHWG7aqPM
@mikelowe@Shaka@florencevibert I saw Little Jimmy perform live with Lou Reed about 20 odd years ago. He was old & frail but his voice still made me tingle. He even duetted "Satellite of love" with Lou. I think he was in his 80s at the time...
@lynn200 I'm sure that's why most of us do this site Lynn!! :-)
Thanks for the link - a nice version. For me nothing compares to Mahalia Jackson's version though:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hohnr22zTxc
But I'm sure I've said before, it wouldn't do if we all loved the same things all the time!! :-)
@lynn200 Haha I like the sound of that #MotherlessChild !!!! I think we might have to draw straws as to who Jams dear Richie's version.
I'm not sure why I've never Jammed Mahalia's version. But there are still SO many wonderful artists I haven't jammed yet!!! I normally try to jam what comes up in my head, rather than have a plan - that's why so many greats get left behind!! :-)
Back in the land of music after a two month sabbatical following sport in Oz. Asian Cup Football and Cricket World Cup. Reality approaches. Back into work mode from Tuesday. Loved this version of the classic. Great voice.

This is new for me. The first time, I thought it was the voice of a woman, then I read your note... I think it's a great coincidence. Thank you.
