@debutch The words to this certainly affected me differently as a teenager than they do today. I first heard this when I was between 14 & 15 & had just lost a friend in an accident & then my grandmother who raised me passed & at that time this song was comforting in a way I can't even explain...I'm now 61 and it feels so different to me than I thought it would...the song & being this age :-)
I know what you mean. The thought of being 70 at 14v was a terrifying one but after 'living a full life' , the thought of it now ( only 10 years away for me) , doesn't really bother me that much. Does that make sense? :-)
Since this seems to be the place for 60-61 year olds to reflect on the changing perspectives brought by time, I'll say that the years have flown but I'm okay with it and what's to come. Lovely commentary, Marissa.
Can't go wrong with S&G;, especially with us oldies!!!! :-D
Lovely personal words from you. Live for this moment, the past has gone and the futures yet to come. I'll catch up with you somewhere else soon. Take care.

I remember hearing the line " how terribly strange to be 70" when I was 14 & how it made me shiver. I not that many years away from that now!!

Totally agree, @debutch. As a 61 year old, live the life and, other than that, what matters? Jam on.
