The year got going with “Demons” by Sleigh Bells, and the jams kept coming; 49 in total. There was a lot of Waxahatchee, folk, and instrumental. “The Times They Are A-Changin'” by Bob Dylan got a lot of love. mathjohnson reached 200 jams in February. “2020” by Suuns closed out the year.

2013

mathjohnson’s first jam of 2013 was “Poor Song” by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. 99 more jams followed it! The year’s recurring themes? Shovels & Rope, classic rock, and electronic. They were the first, and only, to post “Carol Of The Bells” by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. People really liked “California Dreamin'” by The Mamas & the Papas. mathjohnson reached 100 jams in February. 2013 drew to a close with “The Nurse Who Loved Me” by Failure.

2012

In February, mathjohnson joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “Jilted Lovers” by The Naked And Famous. Nice. In February, mathjohnson found it, their eternal jam: “Between the Bars” by Elliott Smith. Plenty of Elliott Smith, electronic, and singer-songwriters. mathjohnson did some crate-digging too, and found “Big Butter and Egg Man” by Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five. People really liked “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel. mathjohnson was the first person on This Is My Jam to post “I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone” by Sleater-Kinney — before 20 others! mathjohnson passed 75 jams in November. “In My Tree” by Pearl Jam closed out the year.
