The Hunger is clearly amazing, a terrific centrepiece to Coral Fang but this is the bloodily-torn-out heart of it. It's the pure Californian punk of the verses, the chug, the fact it sounds exactly like the Offspring but with Brody's gross, raw vocals over them like a feral orgy and the sheer rage of the thing. But the chug is very cheerful! And the song overall is hopeful, triumphant- especially when it goes full on Dark Phoenix at the end: I WATCHED YOU BURN IN THE EYE OF MY SUN, IN THE EYE OF MY SUN OH YEAH, I FUCKED YOU IN IN THE EYE OF MY SUN cripes maybe we should stop drinking this brand of rum etc.   3

This band always makes me think of the old days. Heading downtown for the night, probably driving too fast and scream-singing along with my ladies. "I come down like a hurricane sucked up inside Now I spit out the suffer, yeah. You say you want a revelation, Well, revel in this my lover. You're free at liberty is this what you want? Sometimes I wonder..."
