@NeilioIglesias I'm far from an authority on Morricone, I only have a couple of records. I would recommend the soundtrack to 'Once Upon a Time In The West', and the sountrack this 'jam' is off 'Città violenta'. He has a staggering body of work, so I would say it's lucky dip time...
Pretty good the first time I listened to it, better the second and better again the third. If you have to get shot by a man with a tache, that's the track for the job.
@NeilioIglesias, I remember @EmperorKetchup having an album of Morricone tracks played by John Zorn years ago, that was pretty good. But maybe you're looking for a purer drop.
That album is the Big Gundown and is covers of some of Morricones Western themes.
For stuff like this it's his soundtracks to Giallo movies you want. Either the comps Mondo Morricone or the comps on el Records like Morricone High Morricone Happening or Morricone In The Brain. The individual film soundtracks can be a bit thin but with all the best bits in a comp are massive.
