Haha I just heard this yesterday, but I love The Cars and I probably listen to them a bit more frequently. I was shocked to see this was you! Bummer you couldn't jam the version you wanted and I see what you mean - this one's definitely a touch faster/higher pitched than usual.
Yes, I felt a bit like @shiningsun2k too but that's good. I like surprises and unpredictability in people. I began by thinking the other version was better but by the end of the song, I was diggin' it. :-)
