I remember when some friends of mine were quoting lyrics from this song back in high school. That was when I became aware that The Beatles were not just a pop-y oldies band.
From Ferris Bueller's Day Off: "Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people." Great Jam Miss Metallica!
I love this song so much! It's also funny because Lennon got a letter from a student saying that the English class in Quarry Bank High School was analyzing Beatles' lyrics. Then Lennon tried to make the lyrics to this song as confusing as possible trying to mess with them. It's the ultimate pranking song

Certainly one of The Beatles best "fun time" tracks.
