@heatherrings Ohhh!! Sorry I missed your comment on my last Odyssey Jam; must have been just on the changeover, but thank you. Time? Jeepers don't talk to me about it!!! :-(
As for your comment above, of course it will do!!! I wasn't really expecting you to be a "Progist" or whatever they should be called!!!! I left Prog behind in about '72 :-D xx
@nasalhazel Delighted to see that you dug it!!! That probably would be a widely used expression at the time. I think we should use it more often !!! :-)
@lindatee Well done for taking the "Prog Plunge" - brave girl!!!! I think the original incarnation of the band Alan Bown Set, would be more your thing. One of the hottest "live" club bands in their time. Mainly doing Soul/RnB covers - their live album "London Swings", shared with Jimmy James & The Vagabonds, is a classic, you can feel the sweat coming off the walls. You'd be dancin' round yer handbag and then off on the back of someone's scooter!!!
@mikelowe Oh - is that what I've done ? Taken a 'progplunge' ? thaks for the links - yes more my thing .. now - where's my lift on that scooter when I need it!
...and that's my fancy dancin' wigout for the weekend, completed...and all whilst still sporting my afghan! What an inspired ProgJam Mr Mikey. I knew you'd find a wee obscurity... :-D
@21schizoid Thank you kindly Sir. Ahh.....afghan? I wondered where the smell was coming from!! ;-) Always good to be able to dance to something - even Prog. Just about to change Jams, but to be honest I'm spoilt for choice, with these early Progjams. I shall think on!!! :-)
having been around in late 60s/70s.....we never listened to prog....most of the heady, album buyers heard progressive good music, pushing the boundaries in creativity.....i am seeing pink pop fairies.. a few real tracks tonight on timj...looking forward...
@lynn200 I NEVER like labels for music, but they can be useful sometimes to give me a flavour of what I might expect. It's whether I like it or not is the most important, be it labelled folk/rock/blues/pop/country/anything else, or even prog.
Sorry, I don't understand your reference to "pink pop fairies" Lynn!!!! I do remember the band called "Pink Fairies"!!! :-)

@mikelowe Started using "right on!" at work this year. Seems to be gaining acceptance.

Years ago I used to think this was from the Hendrix Experience, then I met Dylan and He blew my mind. And now this? Amazing.
mikelowe
@magma Very happy you loved this!! The story is that The Alan Bown! performed this live, Hendrix heard it and decided to record it himself!!!
mikelowe
