I'd always rather hear Terry Kath blow his mind on lead guitar than hear of him blowing his brains out with a service revolver. Silly devil.
Agreed, you only get one shot at a good recording with the revolver and if the sound quality isn't right on the one take, well...
This was back when the band were hot!
