Music sites are obsessed with Haim, and it's hard to ignore that, but in the end that's a pretty good pop album. This comparisons sounds like a competition to prove who knew Stevie Nicks first (I don't even know if Stevie is the girl or the guy on Fleetwood Mac)

I jammed this a few weeks ago, and on that basis, a v.fine choice! ;¬)

The internet has exploded with love for Haim and I want to jump on the bandwagon, I really do. It was only when I checked out a video of a live performance that I started to understand the appeal but I don't think I'll be won over. Alas.

It's good pop, but I am not as sold as NME et al. I keep reading the band name as HARM.

Oh, and they look like well polished performers.

@itskerryc ironically after NME going on about them so much, pitchfork and the quietus which both practically ignored them who gave them more positive reviews!

@mjgBZ32 Ok Michael, I will make a future diary note to check out how much humble pie I will need to eat :-) In the mean time I will stay out of "harms" way.

@itskerryc haha it's nice to be surprised by a band sometimes like Haim did for me, maybe you will be by someone else!

@mjgBZ32 nothing like some healthy skepticism to stay sane. Time will tell. Me - I'm not sure. All I know is that they are OK but there is lots more interesting, unheralded music around.
