Saddened to see this morning that Sharon has been diagnosed with stage-one bile duct cancer. Such a strong, amazing woman & performer. I saw her live a couple of years ago & was blown away by how talented she is. Can't wait to hear the rest of this amazing album once she's made her triumphant recovery.
This is probably the best song of this year. Next week in TivoliVredenburg. REPEAT!

Number 5 in my Top 10 albums of 2014 is "Give the people what they want" by Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Only MOBO in the Top 10 I'm afraid.
