From the 'Born Bad' compilation sleeve notes : "Jett Powers mostly recorded demos for singers such as Elvis, but he also managed to release a few singles. One of these was 'Go, Girl, Go' a song The Cramps would later rewrite as 'The Lowdown', which later became 'Weekend On Mars'. "
"In 1964 English TV Producer Jack Good was in the States working On Shindig when he spotted Jett. He invited Jett to England to appear on the TV special 'Meet The Beatles'. Somewhere over the Atlantic Jett changed his name, arriving in London as P.J. Proby. He performed 'I Believe' on the show and overnight, became one of England's biggest stars".
