“this opera-is based on biblical story fro old testament-in book of judges samson is hebrew-he leads a revolt against philistines rulers&high; priest called -dragon-samson is very strong and with support of others hebrews over comes the resistance of their soldiers-the they priest request dellilah to pretend love to samson -soon she soon she traps him with her beauty and songs--he tells her his secret of strength i is in his long hairs-she tells him to come to valley of sorek--a wonder land of romance and love--he falls for her trap and goes there---while is a sleep she cuts his hair one day-and he is captured by soldiers&made; a prisoner and hebrew people are enslaved again---samson is humiliated&tortured; and they remove his eyes also--but one day he dreams of freedom by praying to god--suddenly he remembers his hair must have grown again-as lot of time has passed---he breaks chains and destroys the palace-pillers -killing most of them---feel the power of divine -----truth wins forever”
