Huge "The Bridge" fan here! Also like this video a lot, kinda hypnotizing, isn't it? By The killing you mean the danish or the american one? (I'm very much into scandi series). Happy to know you're feeling well! Stay strong! =D
Yeah, The Bridge is excellent. Kim Bodnia (who plays Martin) is my favourite actor I think. Being a Dane I've been captivated by him for a long time on a variety of Nordic/ Danish shows and films. Saga is fantastic too - they two of them are a great together as an odd couple.
@AlicejustMay you mean The Killing (Forbrydelsen) the danish one? Cause that's the one I really liked - but I must admit, I like The Bridge more - as @smette said Saga and Martin are fantastic together (and I think I shouldn't comment on this season finale *.* but it's breathtaking as usual!)
@BladeRunner Oh yes, definitely the Danish one; had to be the original! What we found when we were watching one of them though was that the subtitles stupefied us a bit and made us start dozing off and we both thought - at one point when they started speaking English - that somehow we'd mysteriously absorbed the language and had become effortlessly fluent in Danish. Only for a few moments, but ee, it were discombobulating.
Discombobulating..............what a beautiful word............I loved the first season of the original The Killing.......these Danes make great shows!!!!........get it?
@AlicejustMay ha! now we're talking! me too, always go to the original - it's sooo much better. Being a native portuguese speaker, I'm very used to subtitles, the thing is that there are quite a few familiar sounds from danish to english, and there's also the interpretation, it carries away! (by listening and reading subtitles I've learned i tiny bit of dutch! ok, tv dutch, but hey, it's fun!). Now "discombobulating" that's new to me!!! =D gotta figure out!
@JoLoup@njparry@AlicejustMay may I suggest another 2 series then? One is political - is called Borgen and is extremely interesting and pertinent; and the other one, not as good as Bron or Forbrydelsen but still, a good entertainment (and also has a slightly disfunctional leading lady ;) ) is called Den Som Dræber (those who kill)
@BladeRunner@njparry@AlicejustMay thanks for the tip - will check out DSD as already gone through Borgen (great stuff) Just started the French one, Spiral - looks promising. Also the US version of The Bridge is surprisingly good.
@BladeRunner@AlicejustMay Yeah, Kim Bodnia is just a real force of nature. Sofia Helin is just totally brilliant too, the episodes this weekend were killer too!
@njparry, @smette@BladeRunner Just started watching series 2 of the Bridge here at home (Saga's character is much better drawn, even just in the first episode) - and had to find out who the music was by. Thought I'd heard of Choir of Young Believers... and I had - here on this very page! Only just realised. :)
@AlicejustMay@njparry@smette Both Saga and Martin have more depth this 2nd season, we learn more about them, Saga's past in particular... Never thought that the 2nd season could be as good as the 1st, but it is! *-*
