I understand that initially the album "Here my dear" that this track is from was originally designed to have it's royalties going to his ex wife Anna Gordy, daughter of Motown boss Berry and that album sales/artistic integrity were low on Marvin's priorities, however, happily emotions/feelings took over and this beautiful piece of work was produced. Apologies for the rather rambling nature of this and listen.”
