2015

nynexrepublic’s first jam of 2015 was “Way Too Long” by Bent Knee, and the jams kept coming; 38 in total. Plenty of singer-songwriters, drum and bass, and techno. nynexrepublic did some crate-digging too, and found “Tonari no TOTORO (My Neighbor Totoro)” by Imaginary Flying Machines. “Synthesizer Medley” by Howard Jones, Herbie Hancock, Thomas Dolby, Stevie Wonder got a lot of love. In July, nynexrepublic posted their 200th jam. nynexrepublic’s final jam was none other than “Kaotic Harmony” by Derrick May.

2014

nynexrepublic’s year started strong with “You Loosen Me Human (Tom Middleton Remix)” by Super_Collider, and there was more to come; 50 jams in all. Lots of dance, pop, and synthpop. nynexrepublic found a rare one: “It's No Good” by Depeche Mode (Andrea Parker remix). “Horsepower” by CJ Bolland got a lot of love. nynexrepublic’s 2014 came to a close with “Kraid, Rest Ye Merry Mother Brain” by Doctor Octoroc.

2013

The year got going with “In The Navy” by The Muppets. In September, nynexrepublic found it, their eternal jam: “Infinition” by Quadrant. It was a year of Peter Gabriel, singer-songwriters, and jazz. nynexrepublic posted a rare gem: “Mood (Optimistic Mix)” by Symbols and Instruments. People really liked “Jurassic Park Main Theme (10x slower)” by John Williams (mostly). nynexrepublic was first to pick “World” by Julia Holter, in May — 21 others followed suit! nynexrepublic crossed 100 jams in July! 2013 drew to a close with “C is for Cookie (Funky version - Special Disco Mix by Larry Levan)” by Larry Levan.

2012

“Liquid Insects” by The Future Sound of London kicked off nynexrepublic’s 2012. 57 more jams followed it! There was a lot of Peter Gabriel, prog rock, and techno. They were the first, and only, to post “Seven Samurai - Ending Theme” by Ryuichi Sakamoto. nynexrepublic passed 50 jams in August. 2012 drew to a close with “A Baby Just Like You” by John Denver.

In November, nynexrepublic joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “Phylyps Trak” by Basic Channel. Nice. Lots of minimal, Detroit techno, and electronic. They were the first, and only, to post “Luta Regional” by Contra Mestre Marquinho Coreba e Mestre Mão Branca. nynexrepublic’s 2011 came to a close with “O Christmas Tree (O Tannenbaum)” by 8 Bit Weapon & ComputeHer.
