onasteamer’s first jam of 2014 was “Remedios the Beauty” by Oren Ambarchi. 19 more jams followed it! It was a year of singer-songwriters, drone, and blues. onasteamer posted a rare gem: “Is It True?” by Andre Williams. People really liked “22nd Century” by Nina Simone. onasteamer’s 2014 came to a close with “Nothing Important” by Richard Dawson.

onasteamer’s year started strong with “16-16-9-20-1-14-9-7” by Factory Floor, and there was more to come; 35 jams in all. The year’s recurring themes? African music, electronic, and ambient. onasteamer did some crate-digging too, and found “No More War” by Wareika Hill Sounds. “Cheree (Remix)” by Suicide got a lot of love. onasteamer posted their 100th jam in June! 2013 drew to a close with “Fantastic man” by William Onyeabor.

In January, onasteamer joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “MG 333” by Richard Swift. Nice. Lots of electronic, jazz, and ambient. They were the first, and only, to post “Conversation on Twin Peaks” by Angelo Badalamenti. “Shake Appeal” by Iggy & the Stooges got a lot of love. onasteamer was first to pick “Peace Train” by Cat Stevens, in February — 24 others followed suit! onasteamer passed 75 jams in November. 2012 drew to a close with “Stars Down to Earth” by Heatsick.
