p_k_n_y’s year started strong with “Eric B. Is President” by Eric B. & Rakim, and the jams kept coming; 27 in total. There was a lot of 70s, jazz, and soul. p_k_n_y found a rare one: “Your Love Been So Good To Me” by Ruth Copeland. People really liked “Blackboard Jungle Dub” by The Upsetters. And it all came to an end with p_k_n_y’s final jam: “Sparrow (Acoustic Live at Gibson Studio NYC)” by Windhand.

2014

p_k_n_y’s first jam of 2014 was “California Dreaming” by Lee Moses. 44 more jams followed it! The year’s recurring themes? blues, soul, and funk. p_k_n_y did some crate-digging too, and found “A Tribute to Jack Johnson” by Miles Davis. 2014 drew to a close with “Beginnings (The First Minutes Of A New Day)” by Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson.

2013

p_k_n_y’s 2013 started strong with “Midnight In A Perfect World” by DJ Shadow, and there was more to come; 42 jams in all. It was a year of Black Sabbath, heavy metal, and hard rock. They were the first, and only, to post “Cat Scratch Fever” by Ted Nugent feat Mike Huckabee. People really liked “Into the Void” by Black Sabbath. In December, p_k_n_y introduced This Is My Jam to “Changes” by Charles Bradley. In December, p_k_n_y posted their 100th jam. p_k_n_y’s 2013 came to a close with “I Am I Be” by De La Soul.

2012

p_k_n_y’s first jam of 2012 was “The Hunter” by Mastodon, and the jams kept coming; 60 in total. There was a lot of Thin Lizzy, soul, and funk. “Black Diamond” by Kiss got a lot of love. In March, p_k_n_y introduced This Is My Jam to “Roisin Dubh (Black Rose): A Rock Legend” by Thin Lizzy. p_k_n_y passed 50 jams in October. “Prince of Peace” by Pharoah Sanders closed out the year.

In December, p_k_n_y joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “Ain't Fit To Live Here” by Graveyard. Nice. “Uang” by Duo Kribo closed out the year.
