@7r0773r My mate John was absolutely taken up with Hendrix from about 1969 until we drifted off and got married to our partners. Somewhere between then and now, he admits he can't even listen to the guy any more. Overload, I suspect.

I agree. I was pretty obsessed with Jimi from about the ages of 12-18. Nowadays, this is the only thing I reach for by him.
