The year got going with “You Got To Hurry Girl” by Jermaine Jackson, and 9 more jams followed. The year’s recurring themes? pop, NZ music, and singer-songwriters. petepaphides did some crate-digging too, and found “Jet Planes” by SJD. People really liked “Ladies of the World” by Flight Of The Conchords. All things must end; petepaphides closed it out with “Help Is Coming” by Crowded House.

2014

petepaphides’s 2014 started strong with “On the Wings of a Nightingale” by The Everly Brothers, and 31 more jams followed. Lots of soul, indie pop, and 80s. petepaphides did some crate-digging too, and found “California” by Belinda Carlisle. “Outgoing Answerphone Message” by Bee Gees got a lot of love. petepaphides passed 100 jams in May. 2014 drew to a close with “Mexican Radio” by Wall of Voodoo.

In March, petepaphides joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “Ζαβαρακατρανέμια” by Νίκος Ξυλούρης. Nice. It was a year of folk, 80s, and singer-songwriters. petepaphides found a rare one: “Myrtle & Rose” by Lloyd Cole. “3 is a magic number” by Bob Dorough got a lot of love. petepaphides was the first person on This Is My Jam to post “Bluebell Fields” by Money — before 37 others! petepaphides crossed 75 jams in December! “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” by Belle and Sebastian closed out the year.
