I'm really struggling to remember this. Probably because we were resolutely a BBC house so missed the joys of wrestling from Batley Town Hall. So Frank every time.
My god! My childhood aversion to all things sporty (and a scarcity of British TV in Ireland) means this is my first time hearing this. It's a revelation.
It does sound like it could be the soundtrack to some cheap late 70's sci fi flick - it gets weirder and weirder as it goes on, and there is even a Cantina Band bit.
@Marlboroman_Mat Tony Greig! When was a kid I had a profound fear of Tony Greig....like he was some kind of boogie monster....well he was about 7 feet tall, wasn't he?
@leejohnson I think I used to flick between the two, my only annoyance being that the racing was always on at the same time on both channels....drat! then I had to go outside in the sun and run around for a bit...
@MadameZia I've thought long and hard...and I think I've decided I'm with Dickie too...plus World of Sport always had a more varied and unusual collection of sports....see above :)

I always thought the presenter was a bit Dickie though. ;)

If you weren't up for a bit of Dickie, there was something wrong with you. ;) ;)

This is great, and to quote Bill Lawry (in my appreciation of this track)... Got 'em, yes! Piss off you're out! Stick that up your arse, Tony Greig!

@philipnareike I used to catch the wrestling whenever we visited my gran on a Saturday. She loved a spot of grappling!
