gotta like this ,,,did they have a song in the movie with the greyhound, the percisionist on the pots and pans excells,,,,tring always sounds nice,,is that in the errrrr country place that i have seen on telly....
@kingofmen Yes, it's in the country...it's famous for Lord Rothschild's Victorian Natural History Museum, especially its dressed Mexican flea exhibit....I spent my childhood wandering around that place
@MadameZia Alot of them aren't really proper junk shops nowadays...it's difficult to pick up a bargain...there used to be a great one in Greenwich...not sure if it's there now
@philipnareike whoooaaaaaa thats cool philly,,,,do you have like stables and ting and go ah huntin for your din dins,,,,with a blunderbuss and stuff,,,
lord posho rothschild musta had a real bad problem with personal hygene , to have started his own flea circus,,,mexicans as well,,arriba baby ....sounds wild in the country, me i try to never leave my post code, i have never quite grasped the concept of open fields , and watching your food wander about.
@lindatee@MadameZia theres a few in new cross /deptford but there not much cop, go to eastern europe and theres some crackers,,, seems every thing is for sale,,,and if your ever in krung thep check jj/chatujuk/weekend market its a like a small town full of junk shops and craft type places ,,great day out,,,the fish section is incredable...
@kingofmen You may remember that old TV show Shillingbury Tales...that was set in Aldbury which is a picturesque village not far from Tring. My Dad worked as a gardener there for all the posh gentry there...Major Bonsor was one of them..sometimes he'd bring back pheasants and rabbits they'd shot, probably with a blunderbuss....their house was opposite Victor Lowndes mansion...he was the owner of playboy I think...I used to go there in the summer holidays...I don't think I saw any bunny girls
@MadameZia That's right..there's a whole room of zebras there...and a horse/zebra mix. He lived in the Mansion House near the museum...it's now and has been for a long time a posh private girl's school....Lesley Judd went there. He used to ride a giant tortoise too...it is a great museum
@MadameZia You should do..it kept me fascinated for years..must've been there hundreds of times....just a few words of warning....there'a a big gorilla on the ground floor screaming and banging his chest...used to scare me a lot....also...about the insect cabinets on the second floor...don't open the final one....just DON'T!
@philipnareike i think ive seen a zeebra but that might have been a pharmacutical error,,,if i ever feel the need to leave my hallowed precincts i will surley head to lord posho's mue'ey i have a pal in falmouth [ i think ] i promised i would visit abut ten years ago,,,,win double ?.....or too far apart ..?....
@kingofmen Victor Lowndes mansion is photographed on the cover of that Oasis album cover.. I think it's called Be Here Now...yeah.. Tring was a good place to grow up...we were like little savages running wild in the woods and fields...
@philipnareike did you like have to kill ya own food and shit..or was there a waitrose ...all i really know about the country is what ive sen in the ''whicker man'' and that really did not encourage me to venture forth ,,,,,
