@thisismymistake I find this film very haunting, especially when you think of what happened to her. Ingrid was in quite a few of Warhol's films...was supposedly Warhol's replacement for Edie Sedgwick. I suppose Kendra Smith was replaced by Hope Sandoval really...
Bought Happy Nightmare Baby aeons ago but have never really done it justice. Kendra Smith's voice isn't Hope Sandoval's but it's pretty cool. And anyone who helped form Dream Syndicate will forever be okay in my book. May she be living a lovely peaceful life in the backwoods...
@simonp I've got Early Recordings ...there's some very good stuff on it..this one included. You are right..apparently she moved to the woods in Northern California in the nineties and lived in a cabin with no electricity....maybe she's still living in that cabin
@kddaniel Oh no..it's a song I really like, found it on youtube a while back and thought the visuals really complimented the melancholic nature of the song. I find all Warhol's Factory characters fascinating. The sad death of Lou Reed made me think of them all....

I had no idea. Wonderful proto-Mazzy Star jam. Kendra Smith kinda disappeared too, in a way.

Horrible story.

@philipnareike At least with Kendra we have an idea where she might be. Didn't Dean & Britta record an album using the screen tests?

I guess it wouldn't have worked quite so well with images of Lord Lucan...

@philipnareike Did not know of this story... it's interesting in a tragic way and she does remind Edie Sedgwick, indeed... Great song though!
