@BladeRunner This song isn't even on any of their proper albums...I got it recently on a compilation album of theirs and really liked it.. I find it interesting how different music can change the way you percieve imagery.... I think 'Pokerface' maybe dreams of getting a royal flush.
@BladeRunner Having had a blind dog and one with a stupid hairstyle what they see is nothing - there's just this horrible thud when they walk into the door again :) That line made me laugh . Then again, dogs dream a lot! ....Oh yes, good song btw:)
@philipnareike I really liked the song! totally agree on how music influences our perception of images... (being a Hitchcock fan you can imagine how this interests me). As for 'Pokerface', i think you're right... he mumbles so much during his sleep... must be thinking he's onto something great (and with a cigar in his mouth!!)
@alisonsghost i'm laughing at the 'stupid hairstyle', well, mine sees and has shorthair, but still, keeps bumping into things - hard head: that's him! And no pain! I aways thought that blind dogs must have their other senses even more 'fine tunned' than they already are, don't they? I guess what must be really terrible is when they loose sense of smell... (hate animal suffering as well) I also think my dog sleepwalks =D
@BladeRunner I saw a TV programme not so long ago about film music...Hitchcock was at first totally sure he wanted the shower scene to be set to absolute silence.....but Bernard Herrmann had another idea....btw what's 'Pokerface's real name?
@philipnareike that's interesting! can you imagine how much impact would have been lost without it? I have a video (unfortunately, in portuguese) where a brazilian critic does an analisys on Hitchcock's using of colours in Vertigo. Ah Pokerface's real name is Oliver (Ollie).
@BladeRunner Well the blind one was deaf as well - when my brother left her behind on a beach in a town she didn't know, she got herself back to the car park a mile away before they did and was sitting by his friends' car waiting! And Vertigo does look wonderful.
@alisonsghost ohhh poor thing... well, then everything she had was sense of smell after all! I have to check the video on Vertigo to see if it has any kind of translation, it's such a great analysis...
@alisonsghost@philipnareike I'm so happy! found out the videocast i've mentioned before does have subtitles in English! (well, it's not that perfect english, but i guess it serves it's purpose... all you have to do is click on the little white box icon on the right side of the screen). it's a review on how hitchckock used the colours in Vertigo, hope you guys like it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qfz9dzbYCg
@BladeRunner Oh thanks for that..it's very interesting. I've not seen Vertigo in a long time but that's made me want to watch it again. I think my favourite Hitchcock films are probably North by Northwest and Strangers on a Train, but he did so many great ones.

I liked the song and the video - all new to me! Can't grasp what a blind dog can see, but I do wonder about what my dog dreams about...

Should say - they have very hard heads. Not really into the suffering of animals!

@MadameZia @simonp Haha! Funny. Thanks for the 'heads up'... I've just taken a Sealegs tablet so should be fine.
