@philipnareike (must clarify that the 'work of art' comment was for that glorious team in yellow :) ). But I really think you guys have an amazing sense of humour!
@BladeRunner Haha...I know......The Sun's front pages can never really been described as art....but they have their moments.....but what about the song? Mucho to enjoy
Thought it was going to be the 'hand of god' incident. Everytime England knock themselves out of the World Cup, my two default teams to follow are usually Italy and Brazil.
@philipnareike I loved the song! It's so cute - and it has everything we've talked about - football, brazil, mexico (nacho libre), Pelé, G-R-E-A-T jam!
@philipnareike @jackthestripper I'm so sad by this... Atlético Paranaense (black and red) is the club i support (is it correct to say this?), i was horrified - actually cried watching it yesterday... everybody here is horrified and ashamed... it has been a long while since we had this kind of problem... there was a huge lack of security on the stadium, which lead to this monstruosity... but still, it's grotesque and unjustifiable.
@philipnareike no, thankfully no. 4 guys were removed to the hospital, at one moment it was said one of them died, but it was corrected later. It was really sad, every midia vehicule here was condemning it, saying exactly this - we had the eyes of the world for real 2 days prior to what happened, and we end up showing what's most despicable... but really, what happened there was a misfortunate combination of things - including much irresponsibility. =/
@BladeRunner It happens all over the world at football matches, throughout the ages...football always seems to bring out the tribal instincts in men and they revert to becoming idiotic beasts. The disease of the English football hooligan was infamous throughout the world, but luckily it doesn't happen so much as it used to...now again it rears its ugly head...
@philipnareike that's true! unfortunately the hooligan parallel is inevitable... the thing is, this was the season last "match", my team (Atlético Paranaense) was playing to stay on the top 4 (and we end in 3rd place, so yay!) and the other, Vasco, was being downgraded to the 2nd division (in case they lost it) - so it was an extremely emotional match for both sides... I hope this was an isolated event, cause it was too brutal... But, again - loved the video!
@BladeRunner Yeah, let's hope it was just a one-off. I'm sure it was just the passion of the occasion. For this to happen during the World Cup would be a tragedy. I'm sure it won't. It's strange you say their were hardly any police at the match. In the UK there seems to be loads at matches. By the way, in English, you would say relegated to a lower division....and believe me, I know a lot about 'relegation'..the team I support was relegated in successive seasons the last 2 years...boo hoo!

@alisonsghost I think England are going to need at least a couple of 'hand of God' incidents this time...
alisonsghost
@philipnareike In their favour, yes. Not like the Maradonna incident. God owes us! We was robbed.

@BladeRunner I'm sorry to see that , with the eyes of the world on Brazil, it's very sad it should happen. Did someone get killed?
