I too saw this on The Tube and I remember getting an instant crush on the bonnie lassie in the vid. First time I've played the song or seen the te video since then (1983). I don't remember all the synths, maybe because I was so smitten with the girl my hearing was affected.
@philipnareike yeah!!! I'm afraid of that flying sword (and of the special effects as well - you never know, if it could reach manhattan...!) hahaha!!! so, I shall not make fun of him! :)

As a Scot, I remember having conflicting emotions about this. Appreciate the kitsch value or cringe at yet another crude media stereotyping.
