Just how far does it go beyond being a western?
@Avante El Topo is Mystical....it is beyond anything your mind can comprehend........... .....apparently it was John Lennon's favourite film

It's an interesting film, but over-rated by some. His next film "The Holy Mountain", is, in my opinion, far better in all respects...
his version of "Dune" would have been a GREAT film if it had ever been made.
I thought I saw this, but now I think I got it confused with 'Santa Sangre'

I must admit, after seein EVERYTHING that El Topo is, I was already waiting for a musical scene... Frankly, I'm disappointed.
